So I'm nearly done with Jail Breakers, and I'll be honest, it isn't what I wanted, I'm new to the Game Dev scene and I was too ambitious at first, Jail Breakers was to be a roguelike dungeon crawler with crazy different floors featuring bosses and combat. Then I realized that this was far beyond the scope of my ability. Instead of taking a break to develop my skills and come back to it, I tried to adapt, and it clouded the vision of what I originally wanted. what I really should've done is started off small with some really basic games instead of wasting my time creating sprites n' stuff before I even knew a thing about Game Development as a whole. So before the update I want to say, please don't have high expectations for this one. I want Jail Breakers to be a page in my tale of what not to do. That said, it's nearly here so despite it being basic as FUCK feel free to give it a go once it's out and let me know what you think, and more importantly, what I could do to learn a bit more before I dive headfirst into another project. and once I learn some more, maybe I'll start to work on the JailBreakers that I wanted to make all along.
By working on JailBreakers I also realized another thing, and it's that Unity is NOT that good for 2D games, so, for my next project I will be trying Godot. if anyone has any advice on using the Engine, please let me know
That's all folks
